FALL WINTERIZATION SERVICES
Why is it so important to winterize and blow out your sprinklers?
Winterization is especially important for our local climate here in Denver, where the winter temperatures often go below freezing for extended periods of time. When water freezes, it expands, causing pipes to crack or burst in or around your home, resulting in extensive damage. Blowing out the sprinkler system with an appropriately sized source of air ensures your pipes, both above and below ground, are free from the risk of breaks and leaks in the irrigation system. It can also help preserve the seals in your sprinkler heads and keep them functioning properly for longer.
Winterization Services
Services include shutting off the water supply to the irrigation system and blowing out all zones. They also include draining back water to the shut-off valve, turning off the timer for the season, and connecting hose bibs to the system.
- Main service season: Begins at the end of September and continues until the beginning of November
- Scheduling: Starts September
- Cost: $75 for normal residential systems. Large systems or multiple connections are extra. Contact me to discuss any unique systems/situations.
- Services are available during winter as well, but there is an additional $50 surcharge.
